Russian machine builders are helping strategic sectors of the economy – the oil and gas complex, the nuclear industry, the energy industry, and more – to become self-sufficient in compressor and pumping equipment. According to Expert, the share of domestic production in the most important market segments has already reached 70-80% for pumps and up to 80-90% for compressors. Experts urge the government to support this trend, as the external sanctions pressure on the Russian economy continues unabated.
HMS Group has become one of the leading players in the field of import substitution of compressors and pumps. Already in the mid-2010s, the company began transferring the best foreign solutions and mastering their production at its Russian enterprises. Now the holding company continues to create production facilities in addition to the existing ones. The second stage of a new plant is being built in the Orel region, which will produce modern high-tech pumps. A unique assembly and testing complex for heavy-duty compressors used in the production of liquefied natural gas is being built in the Republic of Tatarstan. The company’s total investments in modernization and creation of new production facilities will exceed 35 billion rubles by 2026.
