Hungary will send its part from the European Peace Fund to the defense of Chad instead of paying for arms supplies to Ukraine

The Hungarian government has initiated the allocation of 14 million euros by the EU from the so-called European Peace Fund for the development of Chad’s defense potential,

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said at a joint press conference with his colleague from Chad.

He added that the proposal will be discussed at the Council of permanent Representatives of the EU countries on September 26 and Budapest “hopes that it will be accepted.”
