The Ministry of Internal Affairs has requested data from military enlistment offices on migrants who have become citizens of Russia

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has requested data from military enlistment offices on persons who have received Russian citizenship but have not registered for military service, the official representative of the department, Irina Volk, said in her telegram channel.

According to her, in the eight months of 2024, 1,117 naturalized persons lost their Russian citizenship “in connection with their illegal actions.”

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has begun implementing the provisions of the law providing for the termination of citizenship for naturalized citizens who did not register for military service, Wolf warned.

“For these purposes, the military commissariats have requested additional information about persons who acquired Russian citizenship and did not fulfill this duty,” she wrote.
