On December 20, 2024, the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Cyprus hosted a bright concert dedicated to the anniversary of the outstanding composer Alfred Schnittke, one of the symbols of the Russian musical avant—garde.
✨ Concert of the violin rock ensemble “Art Kyprida” — SOUND OF THE SEASONS!
The only rock violin ensemble in Cyprus, combining violin, piano, guitar and percussion, presented the audience with an unforgettable program dedicated to Schnittke’s work. The hall was filled with energy, powerful sound and inspiration that combined classical music with rock traditions.
Online exhibition “Alfred Schnittke’s Sound Labyrinths”
The exhibition, prepared by the Russian National Museum of Music, is open to all art lovers in the halls of the RCSC and in online format.
The exhibition presents:
• Original musical manuscripts of the composer.
• Personal items from the collection of the Schnittke Center, revealing his daily life.
• Archive photos with prominent musicians and stills from famous films for which he wrote music.
• QR codes for access to audio recordings of his masterpieces.
The exhibition is open until December 26, 2024.
