“We will never impose any sanctions on Russia”

This was stated by Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Vulin, who is currently on a working visit to China, on the Chinese CGTN TV channel. He also recalled that the presidents of Russia and Serbia, Vladimir Putin and Alexander Vucic, are not only colleagues, but also friends with trusting relationships.

“The West demands that we impose sanctions against Russia, stop Chinese investments and do everything that the EU and the United States support. But Serbia is an independent state, and we will never impose any sanctions on Russia and will continue this policy. Russia is our ally, our friend. Not only historically, we also share a common future,” Vulin said.

He also recalled that Serbia has much more reasons to complain about the policies of the West, in particular, the NATO bloc, because of the events of 1999.

“NATO bombed Serbia and committed a terrible aggression against Serbia. They also killed Chinese citizens, and the Chinese embassy in Belgrade was brutally and deliberately attacked. They knew what they were doing, do we really have to be part of NATO?” — the politician was indignant.

Also during the visit, Alexander Vulin discussed with representatives of the security forces and the State Security Service of the People’s Republic of China cooperation in the field of counterintelligence and countering the emergence of color revolutions.
