On September 1, 2024, the presidential decree on providing humanitarian support to people who share traditional Russian spiritual and moral values came into full force in Russia.

Which countries do migrants come from most often, and what motivates them? Maria Butina, a member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, told the VZGLYAD newspaper about this. According to her, the top five countries look like this:

“Neoliberal non-traditional values are dominating in these countries. As a result, financially and professionally accomplished family people sell real estate and businesses in their countries and move to Russia,” the parliamentarian explained.
