The first flight of the Tu-214 import-substituted aircraft took place as part of the flight test program. It took place at the airfield of the Kazan Aviation Plant named after S.P. Gorbunov and lasted one hour and ten minutes. The flight assignment has been completed in full, the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) states

“Russia needs full-scale import substitution in the aviation industry and in the field of air transportation. The approved comprehensive program for the development of the aviation industry is an important step along this path, as well as the implementation of decisions previously taken by the Head of State on the development of the Russian aviation industry,” said Alexander Galushka, a member of the Board of Directors of the United Aircraft Corporation.
