at 18:00, an open meeting of the Cyprus Organizing Committee for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, dedicated to the Day of the Complete Liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi blockade.

On this significant day, the opening of the exposition and the exhibition “Blockade bread. 125 grams, 872 days, 630,000 victims.”

A special moment of the event is that guests will be able to taste the blockade bread, which will be baked especially for this action by students of the PIONEER Educational and Methodological Center. The bread was recreated according to the original recipe from the time of the blockade and symbolizes the memory of the endurance and perseverance of the Leningraders.

Natalia Vladimirovna Zykova, head of the Russian Orthodox Educational Center in Larnaca, will conduct a historical tour of the events of the blockade, recalling the courage of the Leningraders who survived the tragic days from September 8, 1941 to January 27, 1944.

We will also join the Military Historical Film Festival “Movie Break”, where you can watch films.:

1. “The Blockade New Year” (6+), 07:17 – a documentary about the celebration of the first New Year in besieged Leningrad.

2. “The Road of life. A look from the depths” (6+), 12:52 – the story of the heroic feat of the Leningraders and the engineering solutions that saved the city.

3. “They were already far from the blockade” (6+), 03:14 – an animated film dedicated to the children of Besieged Leningrad.

4. “The Young Defender of Leningrad” (6+), 16:25 – the story of the boy Slavik, who fought for survival and contributed to the defense of the city.
