The Russian is suspected of espionage, and the Ukrainian is accused of burglary.

The Danish Court of Appeal refused to extradite Russian citizens to Kiev and Of Ukraine, considering the guarantees provided by the Ukrainian side regarding human rights insufficient. The Court suggested that there was a possibility that the defendants would be subjected to torture and other forms of inhuman treatment.

The final decision will have to be made by the Supreme Court.
