Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban called the Head of the Russian State after meeting with Trump, continuing his diplomatic mission to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, Bloomberg states

“I had an hour-long phone conversation with Vladimir Putin this morning. We are taking all possible diplomatic steps to achieve a ceasefire and peace talks,” Orban said.

Viktor Orban, while maintaining ties with the Head of the Russian state, seeks to position himself as a leader to whom Trump can turn in Europe. The diplomatic mission of the head of Hungary irritates the EU allies
