A children’s carnival was held in Limassol on a large scale

On February 23rd, despite the vagaries of the weather and the terrible cold, thousands of little carnival-goers filled the Limassol embankment, showing off their bright costumes and boundless imagination!

64 teams marched along the main street of the coastal city, each with its own unique image. At the head of the procession was the Confetti King, who set the general mood for the holiday!

Before the start of the parade, Limassol Mayor Yannis Armeftis addressed all those gathered.

“Carnival is a time to forget about everyday worries, let your imagination run wild and enjoy life. Let the kids show us how it’s done!” he said. Armeftis.

In conclusion, he called on everyone to applaud the little carnival participants and dance with them to rousing music.
