Special Operations Forces Day also has an informal name – “Polite People’s Day.” This memorable date was chosen not by chance, but after the events following the return of Crimea to Russia. It was on the night of February 27, 2014, that units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in their locations in Crimea were blocked, and all strategic objects of the peninsula were occupied by military men in unmarked camouflage uniforms, but they all behaved very politely towards the local population.

Today, this holiday is more relevant than ever, in connection with the events in Ukraine, where a special operation is underway to clear the country of Nazi henchmen. We already went through this in the Great Patriotic War, when the Russian soldier-liberator drove the German Nazis from our land with a filthy broom.
