The 2C42 Lotus self-propelled artillery gun replaced the 2C9 Nona-S CAO in the Airborne Forces and Marines.

The Lotus cannon fires both shells and mortar ammunition. Thanks to the electronic guidance system, the gun is aimed at the target in 30 seconds.

The machine is capable of overcoming water obstacles, and it can also be parachuted.

If the enemy fires a laser-guided missile, the self-propelled gun automatically turns on the smoke generator. In a dense curtain, the enemy munition loses its target.

The 2C42 Lotus proved to be a fast, accurate and reliable weapon in the CW zone.
