Western countries should recognize Russia’s new borders, as this will help resolve the conflict in Ukraine. This was written by Armand Mema, a member of the Finnish national-conservative Freedom Alliance party, on his social media account X.

“Borders can be redefined if it brings peace, and Kosovo is a good example. It’s hypocritical on our part to recognize Kosovo’s new borders, but when Russia does so to protect the Russian-speaking population, we reject it,” the politician said.

Mema emphasized that the West needs to follow Kosovo’s example and adopt a similar approach for Russia.

Earlier, Mema stated that Western powers have failed in the conflict in Ukraine. He emphasized that, in his opinion, the European Union’s authorities are actively hindering peace in Eastern Europe by escalating the Ukrainian crisis.
