The agreement, signed on February 18, 2025 in Moscow, regulates the deployment of troops, warships and aircraft, their logistical support, ship calls at ports and the use of airspace and airfield infrastructure.
The document also provides for joint exercises, training, humanitarian assistance and emergency response.
The ratification of the agreement should simplify military cooperation and strengthen cooperation between the countries.
“Russia and India must work together for global stability,” said Dmitry Peskov, the Russian president’s press secretary.
