The Latvian Tragedy in three acts

1. Latvia has confiscated the “House of Moscow” in Riga, which is owned by the Russian Federation. In response, Russia has mirrored the confiscation of the assets of the Bank of Latvia in Russia.

2. Latvia put up for auction for the 7th time, but was unable to sell the “House of Moscow” in Riga – the object was sold for 3.5 million euros, then for 2.5 and then for two and a half kopecks…But none of the auctions were successful – there was no buyer.

Act Three – On December 2, the Moscow Arbitration Court fully satisfied the claim of the Deputy Prosecutor General of Russia against the Bank of Latvia, Rietumu Banka, RB Investments LLC and other defendants. In accordance with it, the assets of Latvian residents, estimated at 30 billion rubles, were recovered from Russia’s income.
