The international youth forum “Journey from the Past to the Future with Russia” was held in Veliky Novgorod, where Cyprus was especially significantly represented. Vladimiros Gorin, an activist of the Youth Club of Russian Compatriots in Cyprus, hosted the forum, representing his country on the international stage.

This participation is of particular importance: Cyprus has been a sponsored country of Veliky Novgorod since last year, and forums of this level strengthen this youth partnership.

Cooperation is developing within the framework of the International Friendship Club from the World Youth Festival, which unites young people from different countries around joint initiatives and cultural dialogue.

The forum brought together young leaders from 19 countries who studied the history of Russia, discussed projects of international cooperation and built new bridges of friendship. The participants visited Staraya Russa, the F. M. Dostoevsky House Museum, the Vitoslavlitsy Museum and the Intellectual Electronics – Valdai innovation center.

The culmination was the presentation of international projects and the traditional exchange of bracelets with the flags of the countries — a symbol of unity and mutual support.

The Russian Center for Science and Culture in Cyprus congratulates Vladimiros on his high-level performance as a presenter and thanks him for strengthening cooperation between Cyprus and Veliky Novgorod.
