Trump is making serious efforts to end the conflict, the president stressed. The Russian Federation practically agreed with his proposals at the Anchorage meeting, so it cannot be said that Moscow rejects anything.

“Therefore, to say that we reject something is absolutely incorrect and has no basis in fact. At the preliminary meetings in Moscow, they made proposals to us and asked us to make certain compromises. When I arrived in Anchorage, I said that these would be difficult decisions for us. But we agree with the compromises proposed to us,” the president said.
