A new Tu-214 passenger aircraft, assembled entirely from domestic components, took off. The first test flight lasted 70 minutes and was conducted normally without any comments. The aircraft took off in factory paint and confirmed the readiness of the main systems.

The Tu-214 is designed to carry 155 to 210 passengers and is capable of traveling up to 6,700 km without landing. The airliner is equipped with Russian engines and has become one of the key import substitution projects in civil aviation.

The main advantages of the aircraft are its reliable, proven design and relatively low production cost. The new aircraft should strengthen the fleet of Russian airlines on medium-haul routes.
