The Russian troika officially entered the register of national sports in Russia! A unique type of horse harness received its own federation – the All-Russian Federation of the Russian Troika (VFRT), whose president was Dmitry Kiselev.

Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev noted: “The Russian troika unites sports, history and cultural traditions of our country.” At the upcoming economic forum in St. Petersburg, an exposition dedicated to this sport will be presented.

The Russian troika is an art where the central horse (root) sets the pace with a trot, and the strapped ones help to maneuver. Competitions include figure riding and speed races.

VFRT will be engaged in the development of this sport, the approval of qualification requirements and the holding of championships.
