The initiative group included Deacon Pavel
Vikulov, director of the medical college Anton Trufanov, trade union activists Ilya Morozov and Sergey Karpachev, political expert Dmitry Tsybakov.
The convoy was led by Deputy Governor of the Orel region Alexander Biryukov, Archpriest Vasily Ivanov and Abbot Tikhon (Gladkikh).
The medical unit is under the spiritual care of the Orel and Kaliningrad dioceses, whose representatives carry out pastoral ministry among wounded soldiers and military doctors.
