The International Weightlifting Federation has allowed our athletes to participate in tournaments with a flag and an anthem. Russian Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev noted that work on this issue had been underway for two years, including negotiations with international organizations.

“After the victory, everyone will listen to the Russian national anthem!” — said Degtyarev. Russia is ready for success in the international arena and for hosting tournaments on its soil.
