Members of the European Parliament demanded that the European Commission (EC) provide a full package of documents related to the financing of the Gaza Strip in the amount of 6 billion euros, the German Bild states

The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, insists that the EU funds sent to the Gaza Strip were spent strictly for their intended purpose, while refusing to provide supporting documents in full.

It follows from the official response to the parliamentary inquiry that the EC has only data on the total amount of aid to the Palestinian territories, but refuses to provide information on bank transfers that allow tracking the movement of funds.
