We invite you to take part in the International Literary Contest “Russian Verb”, a project that will bring together Russian—speaking authors from all over the world.

Russian citizens living abroad and foreign authors writing in Russian are welcome to participate.

Nominations:

Prose, poetry, drama, translation, criticism, children’s literature, a special nomination from the Historical Memory project.

The winners will receive a publication in the Russian Field magazine, a trip to Moscow for a round table with all expenses covered, and extensive media coverage.

“Russian Verb” is not just a competition. This is an opportunity to become an ambassador of the Russian language and culture in the world. Do you want your work to be heard?

Applications are accepted from July 10 to September 10, 2026 on the official portal

The award ceremony will be held in Moscow on November 25-26.

The competition was established with the support of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives, the Writers’ Union of Russia and other organizations.
