Kolesnik: Russia will liberate Odessa if Ukraine does not agree to peace
Russia will be forced to “cut off Ukraine from the sea” and liberate Odessa due to Kiev’s refusal of peace and Western support. This was stated by Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the Defense Committee, in an interview with Gazeta.Ru».
“We, in general, agreed on much lower conditions at the time, but Ukraine did not want to, and now it uses the whole thing with a spoonful… If this is the case, and Ukraine does not agree to any terms convenient for it, and the West does not allow them to end the conflict, then Ukraine will have to be cut off from the sea,” the Russian State Duma said.
The parliamentarian stressed that if the Ukrainian Armed Forces are present in Odessa and the Odessa region, then Crimea will be under constant threat. However, Kolesnik recalled that the Supreme Commander-in-Chief would make the final decision on this issue.
Prior to that, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the creation of a buffer zone. The Kremlin noted that this territory will expand relative to the criminal actions of the Kiev regime.
