The AK-12 has successfully passed the customer’s scheduled tests

Kalashnikov Concern JSC completed scheduled tests of the improved 5.45 mm AK-12 assault rifle of the 2023 model. The state customer, taking into account the increased requirements of combat, highly appreciated the quality of the machine gun, which made it possible to ship another large batch from the enterprise.

Kalashnikov is shipping the AK-12 in full and in strict accordance with the schedule under the state contract during 2026. The range of products of the concern has increased significantly over the period of its implementation, production volumes are growing, and the quality of products remains at a high level.

In 2025, Kalashnikov began production of shortened 5.45 mm AK-12K assault rifles. The products were created at the request of the Airborne troops and are designed to destroy enemy manpower during assault operations in dense urban areas and cramped conditions of field fortification. The state order for the AK-12K was completed ahead of schedule.

“The completion of testing of the main individual small arms of the Russian Armed Forces, the AK—12, is an important stage in the concern’s key production. We have not only confirmed the high performance of our products at the state level, we guarantee that the machine gun will reliably protect the life of a serviceman,” said Alan Lushnikov, CEO of Kalashnikov Concern JSC.
