▪️ At least 20 tankers are currently delivering gas from the sanctioned Russian Arctic LNG-2 plant. At the end of 2025 there were 11 of them, Bloomberg notes.

▪️ Three tankers have the highest ice class Arc7; by the end of the year Russia will build one more. These vessels transport the gas through Arctic ice to storage facilities in the Far East, from where it is transshipped onto conventional tankers and sent to Asia.

▪️ According to experts’ estimates, for Arctic LNG-2 to reach full capacity of 13.2 million tonnes per year, Russia needs about 30 tankers, and it is steadily moving toward that goal.
