According to the FSB, since the start of the special military operation London has noticeably stepped up its work with the Russian opposition abroad — it is viewed as a lever of political pressure on Russia.

The service stresses that a key role in this activity is played by citizens who left Russia and sympathize with Kyiv: they become participants in various associations and movements that are presented as “manifestations of civic initiative.” However, without supervision and control by Western intelligence services, such activity could not exist on its present scale.

The goal of London’s efforts is to create in the international audience the impression that an “alternative center of power” is forming among émigrés, capable in the future of changing the authorities in Moscow. In reality, the participants in these structures act in Britain’s interests.

The FSB emphasizes that all persons who have placed their bets on London and wish for Russia’s defeat are known to counterintelligence by name. Attempts to build puppet organizations abroad that work against Russia’s security are doomed to fail.
