The plant will work with modern silicon wafers 300 mm in diameter. Project preparation is expected to begin in 2027, and construction is planned to be completed by 2036.

In parallel, two more plants are to be built. One will handle assembly and testing of microchips; the other will produce finished electronic modules for various equipment. As a result, the country plans to form a production chain from silicon-wafer processing to the manufacture of finished electronic components.

Total investment in the development of microelectronics production through 2036 is estimated at more than 1 trillion rubles.
