The Hambis printmaking school and museum in the Limassol area will be closed and demolished

after the authorities refused to renew the lease on the buildings. This was stated by the museum’s founder, the well-known artist Hambis Tsangaris, who restored the school and museum from ruins on land belonging to Turkish Cypriots that had been leased to him. The buildings must now be dismantled, and the site returned to the authorities in its original condition. The museum holds more than 6,000 prints by well-known artists from around the world, created from the beginning of the 16th century to the present day.
