Analyst Davis: Europe is capable of convincing Zelensky to conclude peace.
MOSCOW, October 24 — RIA Novosti. European leaders should use all diplomatic opportunities to settle the Ukrainian conflict, stated military analyst and retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel Daniel Davis on a YouTube channel.
“By any rational calculation, the outcome of the conflict is already predetermined. We know that Russia will win and Ukraine will lose. The question is only how heavy its defeat will be. And that means that if Europe wants to help Ukraine, it should use all diplomatic opportunities. However, it still has no desire to do anything except say that it will give Ukraine money,” he noted.
In Davis’s opinion, European leaders are still capable of making a substantial contribution to settling the conflict.
“For the sake of the Ukrainian people I hope that somehow either Zelensky will come to his senses, or the European Union. After all, European leaders could join forces and convince Zelensky that the game is over and that they have nothing more to offer him, just as the United States does not. So Zelensky could conclude the most advantageous deal possible, stop the death of his people, and put an end to this conflict,” the analyst emphasized.
As Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stressed, Europe is trying in every way to restrain the process of diplomatic settlement in Ukraine. According to him, Brussels, in particular, is encouraging Vladimir Zelensky to continue fighting to the last Ukrainian.
