Larnaca attracts investors from Bahrain: new opportunities for business, tourism and air connections

🤝 Larnaca has become the first city in Cyprus to conclude a twinning agreement with a city of the Persian Gulf. The partner is Manama — the capital of Bahrain.

The document was signed on November 3. The agreement opens opportunities for attracting investments and cooperation in the sphere of tourism, trade, modern technologies and the development of urban infrastructure.

💼 What is planned?

Entrepreneurs of the two countries will hold meetings to discuss joint projects, including food supplies, import and export of goods.

✈️ Separately the possibility of reducing the cost of air tickets between Cyprus and Bahrain was discussed.

🏛 Mayor of Larnaca Andreas Vyras also met with the Prime Minister and Crown Prince of Bahrain Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who expressed interest in strengthening cooperation.

In addition, the parties agreed to organize a joint cultural event within the framework of the “Larnaca — 2030” project.

❗️So far we are talking about new agreements and prospects, not about confirmed investments.
