In Cyprus 26 people have been detained in a drug-trafficking case: the police have blocked €350,000 in accounts and property worth €400,000

🇨🇾 The Cypriot police continue the large-scale operation “Plegma,” directed against a criminal group engaged in drug trafficking.

👮‍♂️ As a result of a multi-month investigation 26 people have been detained. Among the alleged participants in the drug network are four convicts and four accused awaiting trial.

💶 What was discovered?

🔹 €350,000 have been blocked in the bank accounts of the suspects.

🔹 Real estate worth more than €400,000 has been seized.

🔹 A pistol was found on one of those detained.

🔎 The attention of investigators was drawn to people who officially did not work or had no permanent income, but owned expensive cars and disposed of large sums of money.

⚠️ The main goal of the police now is to identify the organizers of the drug network who could control the illegal circulation of drugs and dispose of hundreds of thousands or even millions of euros.

The investigation continues.
