The authorities of the municipality of Paralimni-Derinja decided to put an end to the practice of “reserving” sun loungers on the beaches of Protaras with towels and personal belongings a few hours before the rest (often from the evening of the previous day). This leads to the fact that there are no sun beds for other vacationers, while most of the occupied ones are empty.

The municipality announced that it is announcing a zero tolerance policy. From now on, all towels and personal belongings found early in the morning on the sun loungers will be removed. It will be possible to rent a sunbed only upon arrival at the beach. Payment is accepted both in cash and by bank cards (including using smartphones).
