The Supreme Court of the Donetsk People’s Republic sentenced Ukrainian Marine Oleg Plotnikov to 22 years in prison for shooting a car with people, the prosecutor’s office of the DPR reported.

“The Supreme Court of the Donetsk People’s Republic has sentenced Oleg Plotnikov, 36-year-old commander of the first reconnaissance platoon of the 36th separate Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, the court sentenced Plotnikov to 22 years in prison, serving his sentence in a high—security penal colony,” the message says.

The crime was committed in March 2022. The convict gave the order to shoot a civilian car, as a result of which one of the three passengers was injured.
