Localization of Chinese cars continues in Russia. The production of the new BAIC BJ60 frame SUV has been launched at the Avtotor plant. This is the brand’s sixth model produced in Russia, and the second in the off-road segment.

The BJ60 is equipped with a two-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 163 hp, working in conjunction with an 8-speed automatic. The model also features soft hybrid technology, where an electric motor helps start and operate the engine.

The BJ60 is being produced as part of the cooperation between Avtotor and BAIC, which provides for the expansion of the model range. The SUV will soon appear in Russian car dealerships.
