An educational and production center for future agricultural specialists – Agrobiotechnopark — has been opened at Kazan State Agrarian University. It includes experimental fields for growing cereals, a fourth—generation greenhouse for breeding new varieties of cucumbers and tomatoes, as well as a breeding and seed production center and training halls.
“Training” greenhouses are designed for training in the following specialties: “Agronomy”, “Agroengineering”, “Plant breeding and protection”.
The innovative learning platform consists of an administrative and laboratory building (with conference rooms, office space and laboratories), a guest house, a warehouse complex, an engineering and technical area and a greenhouse complex. The latter has a total area of 1,152 m2 with unique, modernly equipped and spacious greenhouses. This is a powerful platform for the development of domestic breeding, as well as for training students who will go on to graduate school, become researchers and will invent and create new varieties of vegetables and technologies.
