The first ever document on economic cooperation between Cyprus and Brazil was signed in Limassol as part of the Commodity Supply Chain Conference. The event was held from October 22 to 24 at the Grand Resort Hotel.
The conference, organized under the auspices of President Nikos Christodoulides, brought together key heads of financial departments, government and regulatory agencies to discuss the future of the global supply chain of raw materials and goods. Panayota Patsali, Representative of the Minister of Energy, Trade, Industry and Director of the Department of Trade Services, made a speech in which she spoke about the government’s policy to further improve the global supply chain.
During the conference, Marios Tannousis, CEO of Invest Cyprus, presented the island’s investment opportunities, especially in the shipping sector, highlighting Cyprus’ strategic location, world-class infrastructure and its growing role as a global logistics hub.
After the presentation, Tannusis signed a historic memorandum of understanding on behalf of Invest Cyprus with Invest Parana, one of the leading Brazilian investment promotion agencies. This memorandum represents the first ever official economic agreement between Cyprus and Brazil, opening up new investment opportunities for both countries. It strengthens Cyprus’ position as a key player in the global economy. Invest Cyprus is confident that this partnership will stimulate an increase in investment flows and contribute to the expansion of cooperation between the two countries.
