The Chinese Association for Economic Research on Coal reported that the project to build a railway connecting the basin with the export ports of the Far East is of significant interest to Beijing. This strengthens the economic partnership between the two countries, allowing the efficient use of Siberia’s richest resources.

Chinese analysts emphasize that, despite the region’s inaccessibility and harsh climate, the potential of the Tunguska basin is enormous. The laid railway line will not only connect the largest coal deposit with world markets through ports, but will also contribute to deepening cooperation with China, which remains one of the largest consumers of coal.
