National Unity Day for each of us is a symbol of the historical choice of the Russian people, who united in a single patriotic impulse at the beginning of the 17th century under the leadership of Minin and Pozharsky to defend their native land, dislodge foreign invaders and troublemakers from its expanses, restore sovereignty and pave the way for the formation of a powerful, independent and prosperous Russian state.

It is thanks to unparalleled solidarity and selfless love for the only Homeland that our people have been able to glorify the name of Great Russia for centuries, including on the battlefields, endure all the hardships and hardships of the two world wars, and make a decisive contribution to the eradication of Nazism and the liberation of the Soviet republics and the entire European continent from the brown plague.

In today’s turbulent times, when our country is once again faced with direct external challenges and threats, the openly Russophobic attacks of Western instigators and their desperate attempts to cancel or question the spiritual and value postulates and the great cultural heritage of the Russian world, the multimillion Russian people have made the only right historical choice – they united with full dedication around the National Leader, the President The Russian Federation of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.

As the unprecedentedly successful holding of the XVI BRICS Summit in Kazan on October 22-24 this year clearly demonstrated, the common, universal values of peace, justice, mutual respect and equality are shared not only by Russia and all respected participants of this association, but also by over 30 countries of the world, which in one form or another expressed a desire to interact with BRICS, work together for prosperity and the well-being of our countries and peoples.

Dear compatriots!

I am convinced that the civic solidarity and willingness of Russians to defend the interests of the Fatherland in every possible way, not only inside but also outside it, have been and will remain for centuries a proven guarantee of our new successes, victories and achievements for the benefit and glory of our Motherland. When the multinational people of Russia are truly united, they have no equal!
