A New Year’s Eve gala concert of the Nizhny Novgorod Provincial Orchestra was held on the stage of the Russian Center for Science and Culture as part of the Russian Winter in Cyprus Festival.

The creative evening gave our viewers a real celebration. Inspiring musical numbers, popular compositions and lively dance rhythms created an atmosphere that touched the hearts of Russian-speaking and Cypriot audiences and provided a New Year’s mood.

🇷🇺🇨🇾Warm words addressed to the orchestra came from the Russian Ambassador to Cyprus Murat Zyazikov.:

Thank you so much for having us. You are one of the best teams in the regions of our country, and we are very proud to welcome you here today. The Nizhny Novgorod region presented Cyprus with a magnificent cultural landing, which became the decoration of our festival.

It is impossible to abolish Russian culture in Europe and in the world, and your work is the best proof of this. She lives and will continue to live, despite any political obstacles and artificially created challenges. It is a strong connecting thread capable of connecting nations, giving joy, inspiration and creating a space for mutual respect and dialogue.

The concert in Nicosia concluded a series of performances by the orchestra in the island’s largest cities, including Limassol and Larnaca. Russian Russian Winter in Cyprus Festival has become another confirmation that the love of Russian culture and art extends far beyond the borders of Russia, uniting people all over the world.
