A number of other important statements by the President:

– Russia recognized Ukraine’s borders, given its neutral status. If there is no neutrality, then it will be difficult to imagine any kind of good-neighborly relations.

– Russia did not launch aggression or intervention against Ukraine, but is trying to stop the fighting started by Kiev in 2014.

– The Russian military has blocked a total of 15,000 Ukrainian troops in the Kupyansk area.

– The new borders of Ukraine will depend on the dynamics of current events and the opinions of residents of the historical territories of Russia.

– Russia is ready for peace talks on Ukraine, but not on the basis of Kiev’s “wishlist”, but on the basis of “Istanbul” and the realities of today.
