A LARGE FISHING TRAWLER HAS BEEN LAUNCHED

A solemn ceremony of launching the large freezing fishing trawler Mechanic Shcherbakov of the ST-192 project took place at the Admiralty Shipyards.  This is the sixth vessel in a series being built at the enterprise for a Russian Fishing Company.

The contract for the construction of ten large freezing fishing trawlers for Russian Fishing Company LLC was signed in October 2017 as part of the state program of investment quotas. Metal cutting for the trawler began at the enterprise in February 2021, and the ceremonial laying on the slipway took place in September of the same year.

Today, the BMRT of the ST-192 project are the largest and most technologically advanced Russian fishing vessels in Russia. They are designed for an annual catch of 60 thousand tons of fish, which is 2.5 times higher than the productivity of vessels that currently form the basis of the fishing fleet in the Far East of the Russian Federation.

The capacities of the fish processing and milling factories allow harvesting 60-80 tons of fish fillets, 80 tons of minced surimi and 250 tons of fish meal per day. The cargo holds have a capacity of 5,500 cubic meters.
