Rostec has handed over a batch of new Su-57 and Su-35S fighters to the army.

Rostec State Corporation has handed over a batch of new Su-57 and Su-35S fighters to the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS), the press service of the Civil Aviation Group reports.

“Our UAC (United Aircraft Corporation — RBC) has handed over to the Russian Aerospace Forces another batch of new Su-57 and Su-35S aircraft,” the report says.

According to the press service, the fighters passed the entire cycle of factory tests and flew to their home airfield. By the end of 2024, the corporation will supply the VKS with more batches of fighters. The planes are currently in various stages of production.

Head of Rostec Sergey Chemezov called the Su-57 the only fifth-generation fighter model that has proven its breakthrough performance in all combat applications. The aircraft is characterized by “high survivability due to low visibility and a modern on-board defense system.”

During the visit of Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu to China on November 11-14, the first demonstration abroad of the Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighter jet will take place at the Airshow China 2024 in Zhuhai.
