This was stated by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP 29) in Baku.
No one in the world knows what to do with the electricity supply, because in three to four years the United States will stop exporting LNG. After all, they will need it themselves — due to the higher consumption of AI and electric batteries. Then we will all get in line, and those who banned Russian gas will stand in line in Moscow and ask: return our gas supplies.,
— he noted in an interview with journalists.
The Serbian president stressed that after Donald Trump’s election victory in the United States, gas prices had already increased against the background of cheaper oil.
Earlier, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Vulin said that Serbia was grateful to the Russian leadership for gas supplies at a fair price and Moscow’s fair treatment of Belgrade.
