Hungary has created a new memorial with the names of 99 Soviet soldiers who died in the battles of the Great Patriotic War. The memorial appeared at the central city cemetery in Dunaujvaros (Fejer region).

On November 13, the remains of Soviet soldiers and officers who liberated Europe from Nazi troops during World War II were reburied there.

As Russian Ambassador to Hungary Evgeny Stanislavov stated at the ceremony, this funeral event was “the result of a long, painstaking work, during which the Russian and Hungarian sides demonstrated high professionalism, constructive approach and good cooperation.”

This is a really good example of a proper, respectful attitude towards historical memory.,
