The EU countries plan to adopt it in early 2025, when the presidency of the European Union will pass from Hungary to Poland, Bloomberg reports, citing sources.
It is noted that the package of sanctions may include additional trade restrictions, as well as increased tariffs on Russian agricultural products.
The EU should reconsider sanctions against Russia because they raise energy prices and undermine Europe’s competitiveness, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on Kossuth Radio.
