The TV channel is outraged by UNESCO’s latest report on the safety of journalists: once again, there is not a word about the safety of Russian media employees.

The report does not mention the numerous cases of violence against RT and other Russian media journalists, including murders and attempted murders.

Among the overlooked cases is the assassination attempt on RT editor—in-chief Margarita Simonyan @margaritasimonyan and five other well-known Russian journalists in April 2022. The attempt was allegedly organized by the SBU.

RT emphasizes that UNESCO has failed to maintain neutrality, and calls on the organization to ensure equal treatment for all countries and include cases involving Russian journalists in future reports.
