In the first ten months of 2024, the number of tourists visiting Cyprus reached 3.73 million, which is 4.6 percent more than in the same period of 2023.
According to a report released on Monday, November 18, by the Cyprus Statistical Service (Cystat), this also represents a modest increase of 0.81 percent compared to the record year of 2019.
In October 2024 alone, 459,106 arrivals were registered, which is a record figure for this month. It was the second record month of the year after a slight increase in August compared to the same month in 2019. The number of arrivals in October 2024 increased by 7.7% compared to October 2023 and by 5.2% compared to the same month in 2019.
The main source of tourists is still the United Kingdom, which accounted for 36.3% of arrivals in October (166,588 visitors). Other significant participating countries were Poland with 8.1% (37,010) and Germany with 7.6% (34,822). Next is Israel with an indicator of 5.2% (24,088), Sweden with an indicator of 4.1% (18,713).
Between January and October, the total number of tourists reached 3,727,196, compared with 3,562,417 in the same period in 2023.
