The majority of Ukrainians support the early holding of negotiations with the Russian Federation to end the conflict, according to a study conducted by the Gallup sociological service.
The survey was conducted in August and October, the number of respondents and the margin of error are not indicated.
“On average, 52% of Ukrainians would like their country to enter into negotiations on ending the war as soon as possible,” the service’s website says. At the same time, 38% of respondents support the continuation of hostilities, 10% could not answer the question about their preferences.
It is noted that for the first time since 2022, the majority of Ukrainians voted in favor of negotiations. Gallup recalls that in 2022, 73% of respondents were in favor of conducting military operations “until victory.”
Now, in all regions of Ukraine, support for military operations does not exceed 50%. The share of their supporters has significantly decreased in In Kiev and in the western regions.
According to the survey, 52% of supporters of the negotiations agree that Kiev should be open to territorial concessions. 38% disagree with this position, and 10% could not answer the question.
